Greetings everyone,
Today I would like to share a few tarot cards to reflect the sensual pleasures of spring. I’ve posted a small portion of this on Instagram and I am wondering if it will get censored. So far, so good…
Even though there are plenty of sexologists changing the spellings of words like sex, even here on Substack, I am wondering if that actually helps algorithms and keeps away any censorship on Substack or anywhere else for that matter. We shall see.
Anyone that has any info on this, let me know in the comments below.
These cards can offer plenty of food for thought. At times it’s best to take these reflections with a grain of salt. Sometimes my dry sense of humor gets taken too seriously. Here’s hoping you will see these from a lighthearted perspective, even if the card has a serious overtone.

The first card for today is The Sun.
This card in most decks will represent creative possibilities, spiritual wisdom and love filled relationships. The erotic Decameron deck is not that much different, yet there is an added dimension of personal truth that comes with the nudity shown.
Real affection towards another person can not be known if pretense gets in the way. Whether we are physically nude or metaphorically “nude”, shining our true light is where intimacy and sharing our inner selves becomes natural and caring.
And nothing like ducking behind a sand dune with someone on a warm day and sharing mutual pleasure moments. Looks like they have taken off their warrior armor and found that peace makes more sense.
Ever have one of those outdoor sex moments that just couldn’t be helped? I had one of those once with a girlfriend. We ducked behind the bushes and overgrowth on a seldom traveled wilderness trail for a nude roll on the ground together.
25 years later I met a guy in the gym - we were working out together for a few weeks and suddenly one day he realized that he recognized me - he had seen my girl friend and I intertwined on the ground that day, 25 years before. What are the chances?
True story.
Back to the card - a notice to stop pretending in life and walk in the sun with your head held high. (or create a scandalous sex scene outdoors with a lover…) Soak up that warmth that is slowly making it’s way back to us here in the northern hemisphere and make note of what it awakens within.
The second card for today is The Knight of Wands.
Knight of Wands generally represents a quick and fiery motion forward. This Knight has just set out on his journey and has immediately taken on a lover that will accompany him the whole way.
And why not?! Though it is hard to tell if she is riding him or the horn of the saddle. Maybe this is a saddle with just a slightly raised pommel. These cards are based on stories written in the mid-1300’s, but the artwork was created in the last 20 years or so. If we are going for the historical angle, I’d say no horn is involved.
The fiery element here can also be about craving conflict. Is he bringing her against her desires or is she a feisty one that likes to make trouble that amuses him? My oft chant - depends on where this lands in your chart and what the question is concerning the reading.
There is something different about this deck. It’s not often that you find a set of cards where the Wands are pictured as a carved penis.
The third card for today is the 10 of Swords
There is a daredevil quality here. These are friends that have a rather “reckless” relationship.
So how you would view this, as always, would be about the placement in your card spread. Is it about a Platonic relationship that takes you to new intellectual and possibly taboo places, or is there a desire to have a “friend with benefits”?
Thelma and Louise relationships are always fun and rather risqué as well. Could be a possibility.
10’s can so often represent too much of something. If there is fear in the mix, there’s going to be trouble of some sort lurking in the shadows, be it hurt feelings or maybe even (lets hope not) jail time. I say that rather metaphorically here - unless of course this relates to more of a true Bonny and Clyde sort of relationship. If that is truly the case - caveat emptor…
If this card were to appear in your spread, it would be a good time to evaluate and find boundaries within the relationship in question, and indeed examine your own busy thought patterns.
Being willing to reset your thinking and be ready for a new twist in direction. 10’s let you know that you have completed one phase and are stepping into another.
This particular deck has more erotic suggestions and blatant sensual messages than most decks, but I would say that some of the cards lack full meaning for the overall energy needed to find guidance and insight.
If you are interested in an erotic tarot reading, I will be using this deck and add in at least one other deck to get a more concise display of information for your situation.
