Greetings my friends,
Nothing like starting out the day with some George Carlin. What a “brain dropping”. I so enjoyed his observations.
Masturbation Month is being celebrated by some, ignored by many. It’s well worth the time to explore the creative possibilities of this taboo skill. Taboo? Certainly a very closeted activity to most people.
Many people think of a quick wank from stroking the genitals when they think masturbation. But there are numerous possibilities to play with.
Just don’t take too many showers with happy endings within a short period of time in the same house. Apparently sperm can clog plumbing. I’ve heard a few younger guys say that they have seen flyers in the dorm bathrooms discouraging jerking off in the shower due to how jiz builds up and clogs drains.
But besides fun shower heads and leisurely baths, there are other interesting places to indulge in self pleasure.
I saw a MASTURBINGO game board listed on an IG post @goodvibestoys. The squares activities included masturbation in front of a mirror, twice in one day and edging for 30 minutes. Good start perhaps.
The book Orgasmic Yoga (see my Substack Dec. 4th review of this book) has 30 days of different masturbation exercises that can bring a new depth to your pleasure. Genital focus breathing, a variety of ways for erotic self massage, anal exploration, attention to the scrotum/labia, and more - with some helpful anatomy drawings to assist in getting to know more about your body. I recommend this book often.
As for tarot, I’ve chosen the 9 of Coins/Pentacles today for a solo moment representation. In this deck, this card tells of a positive and pleasant surprise.
For me, the positive and pleasant surprises in solo play come with exploring something new. Yes, pun intended.
Edging for the first time for me was intensely pleasurable and offered new insights around multi orgasmic experiences and extending the time spent - first time: 2 1/2 hours - with self pleasure and edging. I made some half ass efforts prior to this described moment around edging and found it to be incredibly frustrating. But taking the time to learn about it on the interactive OMGYES.com really made a difference.
On this card, the woman is laying back in a relaxed position. You can tell by the smile on her face that she is into what she’s planning for herself. She has on an eye mask, to her left is a whip. Not sure what the patchwork cloth is beneath her, maybe her shirt or maybe something to catch some of the moisture she is about to create.
The rest is for you to imagine.
There are no individual male cards in the Decameron Deck that show a self-pleasuring theme. I decided to turn a photo into a version of the King of Cups. A representation of having a self touch skill and bold assurance in knowing what he wants and how to create it for himself.
The planets and astrological signs that may relate to him are open to discussion. Is he a mysterious Scorpio or a fiery Leo? He could match any sign given the right circumstances or twist of creative attention.
We might need more information about his body and temperament to find the right planet for him. All in fun here…

#41 is about After Care and talks about how to manage that with others. How can you create self soothing and rest after your own solo time? Make time to integrate the sensations and understandings from the after glow.
